GIRLS RUGBY LEAGUE COMPETITIONS FOR 2010

RE:  Women and Girls Rugby League Competitions  -  2010

 

To help launch the Women & Girls competition, the Illawarra District Rugby League will be holding a “Girls Come & Try” day on, Sunday 14 February 2010 for ages 13 and over.

 

The day will be held at WIN Stadium No. 2 from 10.00am  –  3.00pm at a cost of $20.00 which includes lunch.

 

The day is intended to give the girls a taste of our great game by teaching them skills in:

 

Tackling
Passing and Handling
Scrummaging
Kicking

 

Information Sessions will also be conducted on issues such as protective equipment and insurances.

 

Anyone interested in being involved in areas such as coaching, refereeing etc. are also welcome to attend.

 

These competitions are to be played on a Wednesday evening for 10 weeks, and will begin after Easter.
