GEAR FOR PAPUA NEW GUINEA

As some of you are aware, during Round 14 (Saturday, 4th August) Group 6 JRL will be collecting unwanted footy gear which will be sent to PNG.

Unlike our kids, that often get a new pair of boots each season as well as other gear ( shoulder pads/ head gear), the kids in Papua New Guinea never have the opportunity or ability to access any footy gear at all, usually playing barefoot.  These kids love their Rugby League just like ours do, so we would like to help them out.

Does your club have any training equipment or old jerseys that are not longer used,  or a boot pool that no one ever looks at?

We have asked the clubs hosting home games this Saturday to act as collection points for any donated gear.

The link below shows the community that the gear will be going to.  Kenthurst Rotary are assisting them and the flyer attached was sent after previous donations were sent.

Please get behind this campaign and let’s help kids that aren’t as well off as ours.
